David O’Brien is an artist, designer and licensed architect living and working in Los Angeles.  He was born in Washington D.C. and raised in rural southern Maryland.  He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech with a minor in Industrial Design and often draws on his experience in the field of architecture when developing new works and techniques.  

David has held solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, Berlin and Santa Fe, New Mexico.  He has participated in numerous group exhibitions including shows at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) and MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles) and recently spoke at the 2014 SXSW Conference on the intersection of technology and poetry.  His current practice makes use of drawing, video, photography, painting and printmaking.
